三大信經 "Ecumenical Confession"

大公教會有三大信經即《使徒信經》，《尼西亞信經》， 《亞他拿修信經》。

尼西亞信經 (The Nicene Creed )

我們信獨一上帝，全能的父，是創造天地和有形無形之萬物的。

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

我們信主耶穌基督，上帝的獨生子，在萬世以先為父所生，出於上帝而為上帝，出於光而為光，出於真神而為真神，被生而非受造，與父一性；萬物都藉著他受造；

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.

為救我們世人從天降臨，因聖靈從童女馬利亞成了肉身而為人；又在本丟彼拉多手下為我們釘在十字架上，受害，葬埋；照聖經的話第三天復活；升天，坐在父的右 邊；將來必從威榮中降臨，審判活人、死人；他的國度永無窮盡。

Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

我們信賜生命的主聖靈，從父、子而出，與父、子同樣受尊敬，受榮耀；他曾藉著眾先知說話。

And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.

我們信使徒所立的獨一聖而公的教會。我們承認為赦罪所立的獨一聖洗。我們望死人復活和來世的永生。阿門。

And I believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
