三大信经"Ecumenical Confession" 大公教会有三大信经即《使徒信经 》，《尼西亚信经》， 《亚他拿修信经 》。
尼西亚信经(The Nicene Creed )
我们信独一上帝，全能的父，是创造天地和有形无形之万物的。
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
我们信主耶稣基督，上帝的独生子，在万世以先为父所生，出于上帝而为上帝，出于光而为光，出于真神而为真神，被生而非受造，与父一性；万物都借着他受造；
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.
为救我们世人从天降临，因圣灵从童女马利亚成了肉身而为人；又在本丢彼拉多手下为我们钉在十字架上，受害，葬埋；照圣经的话第三天复活；升天，坐在父的右边；将来必从威荣中降临，审判活人、死人；他的国度永无穷尽。
Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.
我们信赐生命的主圣灵，从父、子而出，与父、子同样受尊敬，受荣耀；他曾借着众先知说话。
And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.
我们信使徒所立的独一圣而公的教会。我们承认为赦罪所立的独一圣洗。我们望死人复活和来世的永生。阿门。
And I believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. |
