Dear Friend and Supporter of China Horizon: 

Great changes are taking place at China Horizon this month.  Your gift and prayers remind us that God remembers us, and guides us as we walk with him.  He does not abandon his people.  Thank you for encouraging us!  

We are happy to report that all four book manuscripts have finally completed the editing, proofreading and typesetting stage!  In October we continue with cover design, and when the funds are available, all four will be printed.  At this point we still need financial help in printing The Chinese Way of Doing Things.  We are grateful for all that God has already provided!   We are also excited that over 300 people have visited our revamped website since August 6; have you? From October 4 to 13, I am ministering at Miri Gospel Chapel, Miri, Sarawak, East Malaysia.  This is a congregation of 1000 people.  I will speak at their missions conference, and continue with 9 hours of lectures in systematic theology and church history.  Pray for physical stamina, God's presence, health, and God's grace as I speak and meet with these believers.  

Upon return from Sarawak I will minister at the San Diego Chinese Evangelical Church's missions conference, October 15-17.  I came to know this congregation in 1988 and 1989.  It is good to return.  I need special grace during this weekend!  Interim pastor Joseph Wong and his wife Shirley have been wonderful friends, role models and encouragers since 1977.  

Janet Chen, our capable colleague, leaves us to serve through her own church: First Evangelical Church Association.  This is a step toward becoming an overseas missionary.  Pray that her short term and long term goals be met.  We bless her as she allows God to stretch her at every stage.

The Lord has raised up his children, hungry and thirsty for solid teaching in His Word.  China Horizon is seeking ways to offer teaching in the Los Angeles area, building a core group of brothers and sisters who will pray and study with us.  May God himself enable us to spread our vision: defending the historic, biblical faith of the church, and encouraging tomorrow' leaders.
